Crunchy Smooth Goodness

While I would like to tell you that I peacefully pull together 3 meals from scratch every day, that’s just not reality. Instead, I make what I can and grab-and-go the rest. Between school pickups, diaper changes, and the rest of the house work, I rely on meals that are quick to pull together and eat, especially for mom.

One of my favorite meals/snacks is combining granola and yogurt. Stonyfield and Nature’s Path, gave me just the boost I needed in the midst of holidays getting added to the busy mix. Nature’s Path sent me delicious Pumpkin flax granola, filled with rolled oats, pumpkin seeds, flax seeds, and sweetened with molasses. Flax seeds contain ALA omega. The ALA (alpha-linolenic acid) is converted by your body into EPA and DHA. Pumpkin seeds are a great source of mineral zinc and magnesium (which most people are deficient in).

I combined this granola with probiotic and protein power from Stonyfield Whole Milk plain yogurt. In a quick pour and scoop, I had a satisfying meal to take me through to the next adventure. Have a handful of fresh organic berries? That bumps this treat up to a whole new level!

Nature’s Path also sent me their Qi’a superfood cranberry vanilla cereal. This is also yummy, although I have to warn you…it’s not your typical cereal consistency. It is filled with chia, buckwheat and hemp which makes it more seedy than grainy. I prefer the Qi’a cereal mixed in a blender to make a smoothie. Grab a banana, scoop of yogurt, Qi’a mix with some ice cubes and honey to create a quick smoothie on the run!
