It’s that time of year when we think of what we would like our alternate persona to be. Perhaps you fancy pirates or aim to scare with a witch costume, but I have a challenge for you…
Think of something you would like to be, not only for Halloween, but for the rest of the year too. Got it?
Well, I am sure that whatever you came up with allows you to be an everyday superhero. As parents, we work to instill good values and demonstrate to our children that we can make the world a better place. We want our children to feel like they are superheroes – courageous and seemingly able to overcome any obstacle. Through super hero play, our children feel brave, fearless and in control of their own world. Well what good superhero doesn’t have a cape? Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to enter this giveaway for your very own free superhero kit!
The Superfly Organization of Active Recruits (SOAR) Superhero program is designed to get kids to use their imaginations through fun games, puzzles and activities. Each month your child will receive a new Mission card that he/she can complete and place in his/her own mission book. The first mission is to interview 3 people about what they think makes someone a real life superhero (something I think even us adults could spend some time thinking about).
You can pick your team (lime green, royal blue, or fuchsia). We signed up for team blue: Owen with super intelligence and agility. His favorite activities are drawing, video games, skateboarding and long walks on the beach…A little creative license on that last one. Ultimately you can sign up for a membership so that you get a new superhero kit each month. The tools received can be used for a child ranging from 2 years old to 10 years old. The little ones enjoy the stickers, cape, book, etc., whereas the older ones can take it a step further and complete the missions, document their progress and include it in their SOAR mission book.
